The Future Is Yellow

Don’t just teach them the industry. Put them in it.

The Future Is Yellow is an immersive music-industry education program. Students step into real roles and take a song from idea to record to rollout.

The Future Is Yellow presents

Project Dream Bus.

A 2003 GMC Savana becoming a mobile recording studio and creative classroom, so the program can pull up anywhere. We bought the bus — now we’re building what’s inside, with a $40,000 build campaign.

What we do

Learn the industry

Students meet working professionals and explore the real jobs that bring a record to life.

Make a real record

Write, produce, record and shoot — the class ships an actual song, not an assignment.

Run the rollout

Marketing, creative direction, management and release strategy, handled by the students.

We tested the model.
The students built the rollout.

At Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, students learned how the music industry works by actually participating in the process — and released a record with Suni MF.
